PARENTS! The driving force!
Parents, the success of our program depend not only on the cheerleaders, but on you as well. There is a certain level of commitment that is required on your part due in large to the fact that your child depends on you for many things. Transportation and financial support and more important, emotional support and encouragement, are just a few things that are so important in making your child the best that he/she can be. Competitive cheerleading, as you know, involves everyone in the family. From practice, to competition and back to home, your child will be taking part in something that will envelop their lives and the lives of your family for the next year. There are certain guidelines that we ask you, as parents, adhere to in order to assist us in making your child’s experience a positive one. Usually competitive cheer is about the gym and their trophy shelf. At TXDX we strive to make it about the children, their development as people and cheerleaders first. To nurture them and provide that emotional support includes you and your family. We believe strongly in creating and maintaining a structured, disciplined, and positive atmosphere that will build the character, integrity and independence required to be successful in today's world.
1.We ask that you support and encourage each member, parent and coach of the TXDX team. Each member needs the encouragement and positive support of everyone. There will be challenges and frustrations along the way and the best way to move past them is through the active support of each other.
2. We would love to include everyone in every decision that is made but that's just not feasible. There are always ways you may help. Please watch your email and the website for those opportunities.
3.Decisions made by coaches and staff are absolute and final. We will be more than happy to discuss issues with you. You can be assured that very careful thought and a considerable amount of time goes into those decisions
4.Please do not discipline your child by keeping them from practice or pulling them from a competition. Their absence affects each member of the squad. We will be more than willing to discuss alternate consequences with you.
5.Timeliness is crucial. Please make sure to have your child to practice on time or early. If you should have a problem or an emergency, please let us know. Perhaps we can make other arrangements.
6.Thank you for joining the TXDX family. We sincerely hope this will be a rewarding experience for all involved.
